About Me

I have always been interested in cooking and food. This started when I was just a young child and would cook for my family and friends. My love of cooking continued throughout my life. I always regretted not taking the opportunity to attend culinary school, so I always say that I am a frustrated wanna be chef.

I continue to share my love of cooking by entertaining our family and friends. My husband and I have been through many health issues over the last 7 years and I find that I turn to cooking as a way to deal with some of these challenges. It is very therapeutic for me.

My husband has been a fine wine collector for many years. One of the most important aspects of cooking is finding the right wine to use in a dish as well as to pair with the finished product. I look forward to sharing some of the wines I use to cook as well as the ones we pop the cork on to drink!

I love to travel. Our most recent adventure was to France and Spain. We had never been to Spain, but absolutely fell in love with the country, especially Barcelona. What a beautiful city! The food was phenomenal and the market there was breathtaking! My favorite place is still France and in particular, the South of France. I do not think there is a prettier place on earth! And certainly, the food is pretty amazing too!

I cannot get enough of cookbooks, food magazines and some of the cooking shows. I prefer French cuisine, but enjoy cooking and eating many other types of food as well. As with many other food bloggers, I guess I am obsessed with food and cooking.

I now look forward to sharing some of the best things in cooking that I have found through travel, knowledge of wines, time spent in the kitchen and learning along the way.

I live in the Atlanta area and share a home with my husband and our loveable Tibetan Terrier.

I hope you will wander and come back often!

    Love your blog!

    • Thank you for taking the time to look and the compliment. I just was approved for the Foodie Blogroll (you have to have the blog for a month before applying), so that was exciting. It will draw more traffic to the site. Keep checking back. I hope to keep it interesting.

  2. Greetings! Looks like we have a lot in common. We toured the South of France (Provence region) last May. That reminds me, I need to get some travel photos up. Hoping to get to Spain next year. Like you, I’m also attached to a “wine junkie.” It’s a good thing. πŸ™‚ [K]
